Whale watching season graces the Pacific Coast

Australia’s Pacific Coast is a whale watching hotspot, offering a unique opportunity to witness the magnificent creatures of the deep in their natural environment on their annual migration along the east coast.

The gentle giants make their way from the Antarctic’s cold waters to Australia’s more temperate climate to give birth to their young before making the expedition back to the Antarctic for feeding and mating. Classic Holidays members can visit the regions that border the Pacific Ocean between June and November to experience groups of Humpback Whales and Orca’s as they frolic, play and swim in our waters.

Their journey moves past some of the world renowned whale watching destinations including Port Macquarie, Coffs Harbour, the Gold Coast and Sunshine Coast, all the way up to Bargara, promising clear viewing of these mammals from land or on a whale watching boat tour.

If you’re staying at one of Classic’s managed resorts along the east coast you’re in for a treat – including Pacific Palms at Elizabeth Beach on the NSW Mid North Coast, Vacation Village in Port Macquarie, Boambee Bay at Coffs Harbour, Beachcomber International and Beach House Seaside Resort in Coolangatta, Palm Court or Noosa Sound Resort in Noosa, and Don Pancho Beach Resort in Bargara.

To witness the giants of the sea with your own eyes, it doesn’t get any better than our spectacular coastline. Offering picturesque coastal viewing and stunning natural beauty, a hidden gem awaits that can only be experienced on a winter escape to the Pacific Coast.
