Classic Holidays witnesses significant Cruise Sector Growth as Members Set Sail

Classic Holidays, Australia’s premier timeshare holiday provider, has reported a significant jump in the number of members choosing cruise holidays.

IYC Travel, a dedicated member travel agency, witnessed incredible growth in cruise bookings over the last six months, with Classic members embracing cruise as their ‘holiday of choice’.

“We saw the number of one cruise line’s bookings increase by over 110% in the six months to 30 June 2013 compared to the previous financial year,” said Classic Holidays’ Call Centre Manager, Mark Dobbie. “Across the board, the take-up of cruise holidays has doubled year on year. ”

The overwhelming growth in this holiday sector can be attributed to Classic Holidays’ stronger focus on the cruise sector through more deals, sales and value-added product offerings.

“Cruising is a really attractive holiday option for our members,” said Classic Holidays’ Chief Operating Officer, Carole Smith. “There’s plenty of availability, it’s great value, not to mention, lots of fun. As a result of our valued relationships with cruise companies, many offer sales throughout the year so we can deliver even better savings to our members.”

“In addition, IYC is continuing to grow its cruise department, improving our buying capabilities across all cruise lines.”

Classic’s Member Services area has also seen fantastic year on year results over the last financial year.

“Our Member Services team saw holiday bookings grow by over 190% this financial year compared to last, thanks to members using the VIP Accommodation Voucher,” Ms Smith said.

“This allows Classic members to pre-purchase a voucher to redeem a holiday week, exchange at a later date, or gift to their family and friends – offering exceptional value for money on a premium product.

At the end of the day it comes down to providing the very best service to our customers.”

These fantastic results prove Classic Holidays is delivering a quality product that members not only want to use, but are using.
