We’re back from NYC and had a great trip. At some stage I was asked to give some feedback so here goes.

AKA Times Square was amazingly big, very modern and very comfortable. Staff excellent. Very convenient for Broadway shows, pubs, shopping and subway. Road construction created a noise issue but that can happen anywhere. Great value for money.

My personal favourite, though, had to be Washington Square Hotel which you found for us. In NY terms it was cheap as chips and I just loved it. It was super comfortable with 1920’s charm. Lovely breakfast included and the restaurant gave first class service and wonderful food at prices we paid elsewhere for very ordinary fare. Staff were helpful and made you feel at home and the neighbourhood is lovely. It’s an easy walk to 3 subway lines so very easy to get around Manhattan too. A small point, ignored by most hotels but at WSH the bathroom has bench space and good lighting so you can see to do makeup or have a shave. Highly recommended.

I also requested The Empire Hotel which you sourced for me. It was lovely and the pool was great but their exorbitant pricing on any little extras doesn’t feel welcoming. e.g. a nice little bottle of water beside your bed. What a lovely bonus. Beware,  it’s $7.50 and no room left in the fridge because it’s 100% minibar.

Thanks very much for all your help.
